Whether you’re at the prototyping stage, the scaling stage or during production, Memtronik can offer you a combination of tests and trials to evaluate the performance of your product, or to monitor certain parameters with these 5 types of laboratory trials.
Why should you carefully evaluate your system?
There are many reasons!
- Find different tolerance levels
- Create a benchmark value to ensure quality during production
- Back up your prototype analysis with reliable data
- Ensure the repeatability of your design during the scaling process
- Test your product in difficult conditions
- Offer a reliable product and consistent quality
Specifically, which tests will help you?
1. The characterization of conductive inks
Having a profile of adequate ink is crucial for the proper functionality of a printed electronic. A careful analysis of all mechanical properties, such as the thickness of the ink, its electric properties, its roughness, and its shape will help you to find an optimal combination of these elements.
2. The characterization of surfaces
What type of adhesive should you choose for your membrane switch keypad? What should you use for the surface of your casing? To avoid an endless selection of paint finishes, adhesives, aluminum grades and other aspects for your casing, you can create a complete profile of its surfaces and materials.
To do this, we use cutting-edge technologies to reveal the facts and create an overall characterization of your product: a laser microscope, rough meter, goniometer, and other state-of-the-art tools will be used to accomplish this step.
3. Environmental tests
With accelerated tests of the ink migration, and analysis of the impact of different humidity levels on the keypad or many cycles of alternating between very high and low temperatures, you will better understand which direction to take with your product.
Simulating your product’s lifespan in an environmental chamber allows you to identify and avoid potential problems of degradation, deformation, detachment, or short-circuiting caused by extreme environmental conditions that your product may be exposed to.
4. Infrared imaging
We give you the opportunity to visualize the way heat is produced and dispersed on the surface of your printed heating element, an important step for evaluating the performance rate of your product. In the laboratory, it becomes possible to evaluate the distribution and the loss of heat, and even to take heat measurements on images of previous batches of products.
5. The force curves
Depending on the levels of force and electric resistance required, we can characterize your sensors and develop customized ink recipes to meet your needs.
For your printed electronic projects, trust the experts!
We know, reaching an optimal balance of all the different components required is more complex than you’d think! That’s why being able to rely on state-of-the-art equipment and experienced experts becomes a real competitive advantage.
Whether it is for a keypad prototype, force sensors, biomedical sensors or the characterization of another product that is not necessarily related to our industry, you can count on us to provide you with reliable data that will be useful for your projects!
